Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Corporate Procurement Manager (NHS AfC Band 6) to lead end-to-end procurement services for corporate categories. The role involves negotiating high-value tenders and contracts across the Trust, delivering measurable savings, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent).
• CIPS Diploma or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant subject, or working towards it.
• Degree in a business-related subject.
• Extensive tendering experience in a procurement environment.
• Experience managing complex tenders and staff.
• Willingness to become CIP qualified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal high-value tenders in line with the Procurement Act 2023.
• Create and draft tender documents and notices for publication to FTS/CDP.
• Evaluate tender returns using financial assessment and purchasing criteria; guide stakeholders.
• Award contracts and de-brief suppliers and departments as needed.
• Prepare tender reports and record savings; ensure governance standards are followed.
• Chair compliance with Standing Financial Instructions and Standing Orders.
