Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Category Manager to lead procurement across multiple categories, delivering value, service improvement and cost savings. The role is Band 7, full-time at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, with Atamis e-tendering exposure and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage tender processes from design to evaluation, ensure compliance with NHS procurement regulations, and develop the category team.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement/category management experience in a large organisation.
• Experience delivering high-value procurements from conception to evaluation and implementation.
• Ability to lead a category team within NHS procurement rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of procurements across a portfolio of projects.
• Engage clinicians and managers throughout planning, evaluation and contract management.
• Draft tender specifications and conduct market analysis to support contract awards.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and DBTH policies.
• Support Deputy Head of Procurement in Cost Improvement Plan delivery.
