Sirona care & health invites applications for a permanent part-time Speech and Language Therapist based with the Specialist Community Neurology Team. The post covers Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, with base at New Friends Hall, Bristol.

You will manage a caseload in residents' homes, bedded units and community settings, working autonomously and with the team to deliver assessments, diagnoses and treatments for adults with neurological or dementia-related communication and

Qualifications

• Delivery of specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems due to neurological conditions, frailty or dementia.
• Experience in supervising or line managing team members as needed.
• Ability to assess and treat a variety of communication and swallowing presentations in community settings.

Responsabilités

• Deliver specialist SLT assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with neurology-related communication and swallowing problems
• Line manage peers, junior staff and students as needed
• Assess and treat diverse communication and swallowing presentations in the community
• Lead dysphagia management as part of core practice
• Contribute to service improvement projects
• Support learning and development through supervision and in-service training
• Maintain CPD and keep up to date with professional standards
• Participate in triage rota and care home support as required
• Engage in system-wide meetings as appropriate
