Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Senior Neuro Occupational Therapist to deliver client-centred OT in an acute neuro setting. You will work with a diverse team, receive strong supervision, and develop leadership skills to support service development and staff growth.

You will contribute to the OT department, participate in teaching and audits, and travel between sites as required to cover rotations and provide patient care.

Qualifications

• OT degree or diploma with HCPC registration.
• Post-grad study in neuro conditions.
• Ability to work independently with individuals and groups.
• Strong workload and priority management.
• Reflective and critical appraisal of own performance.
• Training and facilitation skills; familiarity with NHS EPR.
• Experience with neuro patients and NHS environments.

Main duties of the job

• The Senior OT contributes to the provision, co-ordination and development of OT services for their specific section.
• Assists in training and supervising junior staff and students and participates in administrative functions of the OT Department.
• To provide excellent, high quality person centred clinical care that advocates for patients.
• Strive to provide a service fit for today and the future.
• Develop personal leadership to support clinical growth.
• The successful post holder should have experience working with stroke and a range of other neurological conditionals.

Qualification – Essential

• Degree or Diploma in OT
