I am looking for a Senior Networking Engineer to join a thriving IT solutions consultancy offering the chance to work on the most exciting data centre technologies!

Senior Networking Engineer

Permanent

£70,000 - £80,000 per annum

4 days a week on site in London

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the cutting edge of low-latency network design, colocation infrastructure, and network automation, delivering a major new data centre implementation project for a financial services client.

You will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting high-performance, highly available network solutions across global trading environments. If you thrive in a fast-paced, DevOps-focused environment and have a passion for automation and next-gen technologies, this is for you.

You Will Need Skills In

• CCNP-level qualified or equivalent real-world expertise.
• Strong routing knowledge - especially BGP.
• Hands-on with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NX-OS, and/or Arista EOS.
• Proven experience deploying networks in low latency environments.
• Proven experience in financial trading environments.
• Solid knowledge of WAN technologies, optical networking, and fibre waves.
• Proficient in network automation (Ansible, Python, Jinja2, Git, Terraform, Jenkins).
• Experience in multicast configuration and troubleshooting, Layer 1 MUX switching, packet tapping and timestamping, and network security principles (VPNs, QoS, protected/unprotected circuits).
• Comfortable working with monitoring tools, handling network migration and handover.
