Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Broadcast Media client to ensure their Cloud and on-premise platforms are fit for purpose. You'll join our excelling team, based in the London area, two days a week.

Opticore IT are a rapidly expanding specialist Network Engineer and Project Management Consultancy, offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

What you'll be doing:

Re-implement and integrate our clients' News network. This is a large budget, multi-year project for 10-11 News locations around the UK, starting with Bristol.
Reporting into UK Technology Architecture to ensure that any solution adheres to ITV's design principles and the operating models are considered.
Oversee the design and the high-level integration of NDI/SRT video

What you'll bring:

Operating at a CCIE level
Previous delivery of a multicast project
Excellent knowledge of switching and routing, across a number of routing protocols, but specific knowledge and history of BGP is a requirement.
Good relevant industry exposure in the Network space.
Demonstrable Security knowledge (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and/or authentication services such as Cisco ISE.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate non-technical requirements and workflows into technical proposals to be communicated back to senior stakeholders within the organisation.
A history of deploying wide area networks to support high bandwidth workflows is also essential
