Job summary

Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking an experienced Network Architect for a permanent role based in Aberdeen with a hybrid working system in place.

You will define the network strategy, lead a high‑performing engineering team and ensure secure, resilient connectivity across UK and international locations. Collaboration with IT Operations, Digital & Data and business partners will be essential to align technology with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Network Architect or senior network leadership role.
• Strong expertise across enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, wireless, security) and cloud connectivity.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Experience managing third-party network providers and SLAs.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the network architecture strategy, standards and roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership for secure, resilient network solutions across locations.
• Lead, coach and develop a network engineering team.
• Influence stakeholders and translate business needs into network outcomes.
• Oversee external suppliers and telecom partners to ensure service quality and value.
• Champion network security, governance and continuity.
