Job summary

LCP is seeking a Senior Developer to take ownership of major Pulse platform features, delivering secure, scalable APIs and services using C# and .NET. You will work with Azure-based tooling and SQL databases, mentor peers, and help guide architectural decisions.

You will collaborate with product stakeholders and other teams to shape designs, ensure code quality, and drive releases in a hybrid London/Winchester environment. A strong emphasis on testing, performance, and best practices is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong development experience in C# and .NET, ideally .NET 8 or later.
• Experience building web applications, APIs and back-end services using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• The ability to design and deliver secure, scalable and maintainable API-based solutions.
• Strong practical experience of Entity Framework / EF Core and relational databases, including SQL Server or Azure SQL.
• Experience with performance tuning of apps and databases (C# code, SQL queries).
• Experience writing clean, well-tested code following SOLID and design patterns.
• Experience automated testing: unit, integration, regression tests.
• Working knowledge of Azure services (Functions, WebJobs, Blob Storage).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Mentoring and code review experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of substantial features within the Pulse platform from design through release and live support.
• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable APIs and services in C#/.NET.
• Maintain data-access layers with EF Core and optimize SQL Server/Azure SQL performance.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to refactoring and architectural improvements for long-term platform health.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and manage releases with stakeholders.
