Job summary

Platform Recruitment in Cambridge (Hybrid) is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer. You will lead architecture, design and development of high-performance, scalable systems using C#/.NET, and mentor mid- and senior-level developers.

You will shape the long-term platform strategy, drive CI/CD best practices and contribute to a fast, Agile engineering culture. This senior role requires strong architectural skills and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing scalable, distributed systems.
• Proven track record with C#/.NET and microservices.
• Experience with front-end technologies UI such as WPF, MVVM, MVP or MVC.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and development of high-performance, resilient and secure systems.
• Mentor and support mid and senior-level developers.
• Drive coding standards, code reviews and CI/CD best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise system performance and reliability.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment alongside wider software and engineering teams.
• Shape the technical vision and long-term platform strategy.
