Senior .Net Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + benefits

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (one day per week onsite)

We are currently recruiting two Senior .Net Engineers for a global leading fintech company based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to join a talented development team working on a variety of projects within a distributed Scrum environment across the UK and Europe. The role involves building Azure-based applications for our client’s global platform.

You will bring prior experience in developing Web API applications using .NET Framework or .NET Core, and working in medium-sized teams utilizing Azure web apps, SQL PaaS databases, blob storage, service bus, and other Azure services. The company is undertaking an exciting transformation to deliver cloud computing solutions with leading-edge architecture.

Experience & Skills Required

• Solid experience with the Microsoft development stack including .NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework, dependency injection, and Azure.
• Proven experience with Microservices, Event-Driven architecture, and Restful APIs.
• Experience using Git in SDLC processes.
• Knowledge of Azure VSTS, continuous integration, and automated deployment is advantageous.
• Ability to develop performant SQL database designs and queries using Entity Framework.
• Strong understanding of core object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles, with the ability to contribute to architecture and user story design.
• Experience working in an agile environment with Scrum methodology and JIRA.
• Effective collaboration skills with both local and remote colleagues, including motivating and energizing team members.
• Drive and enthusiasm for building and deploying high-quality, innovative software.
• Continuous learner with interest in new technologies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as an active Scrum team member, improving processes and ensuring delivery commitments.
• Desirable: exposure to Docker in a professional setting.
• Active participation in the development community through blogging, research, open source contributions, and mentoring junior team members.
