Job summary

Hymans Robertson seeks a Senior Developer to join our multi-office team in the UK. You will shape design and development of pension valuation platforms, growing technical direction and engineering practices within a DevOps environment.

You will contribute across the full stack with a focus on .NET and Azure, solving complex challenges at scale. You will mentor peers, drive non-functional improvements, and collaborate with consultants, users and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions that

Qualifications

• Strong OO design and development practices with C#/.NET.
• Experience with automated testing using NUnit and BDD frameworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft stack and Azure cloud technologies.
• Expertise in API design, RESTful services and microservices.
• Experience with CQRS, SQL Server, messaging (Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ).
• Git and Azure DevOps; CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of NoSQL data platforms and NUnit, FakeItEasy, SpecFlow testing.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of solution delivery and communicate risks.
• Provide reliable delivery estimates and identify uncertainties.
• Drive engineering improvements, automation and maintainability.

• Manage delivery risks across the SDLC and ensure quality.
• Contribute to framework, integration and automation enhancements.
• Collaborate with clients and third-party teams, communicating clearly to stakeholders.
