Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 neonatal nurse to join the NICU team at The Rosie Hospital. You will deliver safe, evidence-based care to babies in intensive care, high dependency and special care settings, working within a supportive senior team.

The role focuses on developing clinical, leadership and management skills, supervising and mentoring junior staff, and coordinating care across ITU, HDU and SCBU.

Qualifications

• Band 6 neonatal nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in high dependency/ intensive neonatal settings preferred.
• Ability to lead and support junior staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and plan, implement and evaluate neonatal care plans.
• Provide mentorship, supervision and appraisal for pre- and post-registration staff.
• Coordinate unit management across NICU, HDU and SCBU areas.
• Demonstrate leadership in delivering high-quality care.
