Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority seeks a Commercial Manager to shape and manage contracts for complex environmental and infrastructure projects. The role blends contract creation, procurement support and live contract management with meaningful ownership from start to finish.

You will draft and assure NEC4 PSC and ECC contracts, shape procurement strategies, and advise on commercial issues across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting, reviewing or managing NEC contracts (NEC4 PSC or ECC)
• Ability to identify contractual risks and ambiguities
• Experience supporting procurement, tendering, evaluation and contract award
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly to technical teams and suppliers
• Collaborative approach protecting public value while enabling fair supplier relationships

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and assure NEC4 PSC and ECC contracts (Scope, Contract Data, bespoke clauses)
• Shape procurement strategies, routes to market and evaluation approaches
• Support market engagement, tendering, negotiation, award and mobilisation
• Advise project managers, engineers and scientists on commercial and contractual issues
• Manage contractual risk, early warnings, change and compensation events
• Build constructive supplier relationships while protecting public value
• Improve templates, guidance and commercial standards
