About the role
The Senior National Account Manager - Off Trade will be required to plan and achieve profitable sales of Vinarchy products through specified National Accounts, in accordance with the Unit's objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Budget Management: To achieve budgeted volumes and gross profit after trade marketing spends by account.
- Account Planning: Create, maintain and implement account plans within parameters laid out in the marketing strategies and activity plans by brand.
- Account Management: Proactively manage and continually evaluate all account activity, and provide options, recommendations and solutions to potential issues and opportunities. To secure approval from VP for all non-budgeted costs.
- Cost Management: Secure maximum volume, feature, distribution and customer support for group brands and products for least cost.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: To maintain close communication with other functions (e.g. channel support, customer marketing, logistics, finance, etc.) to ensure that actions are in line with Company policies and culture.
- Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
- Networking: Network vertically and horizontally in all accounts so as to gain maximum effectiveness and penetration.
- Team Management: Responsible for managing all employee related activity in line with company policies (if managing a team)
- File Management: Maintain accurate Account Files and administrate effectively within deadlines. Regularly review progress of accounts with VP.
- Credit and Payment Control: Assist the control of credit and payment within accounts. Review with Credit Control Department (finance), resolve any outstanding queries and ensure prompt settlement of all debt.
- Strategic Planning: Ensure that each key account has an annual Trading Plan in place
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 3 years Key Account sales experience
- Account Management: Previous experience of account/customer management ideally with direct P&L customer responsibility.
- Selling & Negotiation Skills: Demonstrate expert selling and negotiation abilities to drive business growth and secure profitable deals with customers. Aware of value enhancing negotiation opportunities, trading variables effectively that are valued from both sides.
- Forecasting: Accurately predict sales trends and future demand to inform business strategies and resource planning.
- Financial Awareness: Possess a strong understanding of financial metrics and use this knowledge to make informed decisions that contribute to business profitability.
- Passion For Product: Exhibit genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge about the products, ensuring compelling communication and customer engagement.
- Customer Focused: Prioritise customer needs and deliver exceptional service to build lasting relationships and loyalty.
- Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, teams, and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and understanding.
- Analytical Ability & Decision Making: Utilise strong analytical skills to assess data, identify patterns, and make well-informed decisions that drive results.
- Builds Proactive Working Relationships: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners to support mutual success.
- Planning & Organisation: Efficiently plan, organize, and execute tasks and projects, ensuring goals are met on time and with high quality.
