Job summary

High Peak School, part of the Kedleston Group, is seeking a Music and Performing Arts Lead to develop an ambitious and connected arts provision. You will lead high-quality teaching, coordinate productions and work with the Art Department to integrate music, drama and visual arts across the curriculum.

The role combines classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities, offering a TLR of £3,651 and a main pay scale from MPS to UPS, along with opportunities to expand enrichment and community

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music up to Key Stage 4.
• Shows leadership and ability to coordinate and develop the arts curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a whole-school Music and Performing Arts programme.
• Lead school productions, performances and enrichment activities.
• Collaborate with Art Department to connect music, drama and visual arts.
• Coordinate partnerships with local theatres and community groups.
• Provide line management for Art Department where required.
• Champion arts as a core school strength and contribute to school improvement.
