Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer for our manufacturing site near Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. The role combines hands-on engineering with line and project leadership to drive maintenance efficiency and plant uptime.

You will manage a small team, plan preventive and reactive tasks, and oversee installation projects while remaining active on the shop floor. Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, with flexitime options and a structured training path.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance engineer with manufacturing experience.
• Aspires to move into a senior/management role.
• Experience with planned, reactive and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team while remaining hands-on.
• Manage engineers and projects to ensure uptime and efficiency.
• Oversee installation projects and maintenance planning.
• Coordinate with production to minimise downtime and meet timelines.
