Job summary

Queen Alexandra Charity (QAC) is seeking a skilled Senior Reactive Maintenance Operative to join the Estates team in Harborne, Birmingham. The role involves reactive multi-trade maintenance across residential and educational properties, with a 37-hour week and a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will perform carpentry, painting, kitchen and bathroom installations, and plumbing, while ensuring health and safety standards. Driving licence and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing, Multi-skills).
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in a similar role, ideally in education or public sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance tasks across residential and educational properties.
• Perform multi-trade duties including carpentry, painting, kitchen and bathroom installations, and plumbing.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and liaise with tenants and clients.

Skills
