Job summary

Renesas Electronics in the UK is seeking an Electronics/PCB design engineer to layout and verify schematics and multilayer boards. You will manage external PCB manufacturing, quotes, and purchasing, and lead layout reviews with Applications, Quality and Design teams.

The role requires experience with mixed-signal PCBs, ATE tools, and strong English communication in international teams. You will support component libraries and monitor supplier quality, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics or equivalent education.
• Experience with complex mixed-signal multi-layer PCBs.
• Knowledge of modern PCB design, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
• Experience with automated test equipment and hardware verification tools.
• Advanced organizational skills with experience in international and cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Layout and verification of schematics and PCB layouts.
• Manage external PCB manufacturing, quotes, and purchasing flow.
• Organize PCB layout review meetings with Applications, Quality, and Design.
• Support component library development for internal PCB design tools.
• Check technical drawings for tester, prober, and handler production setup compatibility.
• Track project status and escalate deviations from schedule and technical issues.
• Address supplier quality issues, request and verify CARs, and track supplier KPIs.
