Zusammenfassung

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a senior physiotherapist to provide expert assessment and treatment for complex MSK cases within the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department. The role includes leading advanced care, supervising junior staff and students, and driving audits and research to improve practice.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, planning and delivering independent treatments, managing a large caseload and ensuring thorough clinical documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Senior NHS experience in orthopaedic and MSK physiotherapy.
• Registered with HCPC and CSP member.
• CPD with specialist MSK skills and knowledge.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients with complex MSK needs.
• Take a lead role in advanced physiotherapy care, managing diverse and complex presentations.
• Work with the MDT to plan and deliver treatment independently.
• Manage a substantial clinical caseload and keep accurate clinical records.
• Supervise, appraise and support the development of junior physiotherapy staff.
• Supervise, educate and assess physiotherapy students with universities.
• Lead evidence-based audits and research, recommending changes and implementing revised practice.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate the physiotherapy service with Therapy Services GM and Team Leads.
• Act as a specialist resource for physiotherapy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide expert advice and information to patients, carers, relatives and healthcare professionals, obtaining informed consent.
• Plan discharge arrangements with realistic goals and continuity of care.
• Participate in a seven-day rota if introduced and required.
