Job summary

University of York seeks a senior technical specialist to deliver MRI data processing and analysis services within the York Neuroimaging Centre. You will support researchers, develop new imaging methods, and guide project-level data handling in a world-class MRI environment.

The role requires leadership in service delivery, bespoke training, and ensuring regulatory compliance to enable high-quality MR scanning for external sponsors and internal projects.

Qualifications

• Lead the MRI data processing and analysis service for researchers.
• Expand imaging portfolio to include cardiac diffusion and other body imaging.
• Provide expert advice and bespoke training on analytical software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver MRI data processing and analysis services.
• Train researchers in new imaging methods and software.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, IRAS/HRA governance, and health & safety protocols.
• Collaborate with NHS Trusts and CROs to sustain high-quality MR services.
