Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a Facility Manager for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Major Research Facility (MRI MRF) in Leeds. You will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate staff, and ensure a safe, compliant environment for both research and NHS use, including regulatory approvals and equitable access.

You will engage with NHS staff and users to coordinate MRI scanner access, maintain high standards, and support development and delivery of research studies within a clinical facility

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience managing in a relevant laboratory or research facility environment
• Good communication skills with a team-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the MRI MRF
• Coordinate operations and staffing
• Supervise staff and ensure a safe, compliant working environment
• Deliver reliable services to facility users, NHS and research projects
• Set up and apply for regulatory approvals (ethics, etc.) for research studies
• Support compliance with relevant regulations and equitable access to the facility
• Interface with NHS staff and users to coordinate access to MRI scanners
