Job summary

Welbeck is seeking a Senior MRI Radiographer to deliver a high-quality, patient-centred MRI service across adult and paediatric populations in a fast-paced imaging department in London.

You will work independently and with a multidisciplinary team, assess imaging requests, optimise protocols, and uphold safety and clinical standards. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and contributing to service development and innovation.

About The Role

As a Senior MRI Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering a high quality, patient-centred MRI service, performing a wide range of complex imaging examinations across adult and paediatric populations. You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all imaging is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest clinical standards.

You will be responsible for assessing and justifying imaging requests, optimising protocols, and ensuring the diagnostic quality of images. Using your expertise, you will contribute to service development, support quality improvement initiatives, and help drive innovation within the imaging service.

The role requires a strong focus on patient care, with the ability to communicate effectively and reassure patients throughout their diagnostic journey including those who may be anxious or undergoing complex procedures.

You will also support governance, safety, and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you may act as a mentor to junior staff and contribute to training and development within the team.
