The Christie Hospital in Manchester is seeking an experienced MR Reporting Radiographer to join our established team. You will undertake postgraduate study to specialise in MR brain reporting and provide expert interpretation for patients with first presentation brain metastasis.

As a senior member of the MR team, you will lead and mentor radiographers, support the MR Lead in developing a high-quality service across multiple scanners, and contribute to ongoing research and quality improvement

Formación

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC registration or eligible for registration.
• Evidence of postgraduate study.
• Strong background in MR imaging.
• Ability to use own initiative, analyse and solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships inside and outside the Trust.
• Extensive technical knowledge of MR in a clinical oncology setting.
• Understanding of hazards posed by magnetic field and radiofrequencies in MR.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements.

Responsabilidades

• Autonomously interpret and report MR brain scans in patients with first presentation brain metastasis.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of radiographers, promoting professional growth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques in MR radiography.
• Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
