Job summary
McLaren Automotive Ltd seeks a skilled Controls Engineer to join the Motorsport Engineering team. You will contribute to the development, validation and support of vehicle control systems across GT3, GT4 and endurance programs.
The role requires hands-on experience with mechatronic systems, MATLAB/Simulink and vehicle networks, plus a proactive attitude to learn new coding languages as needed.
Qualifications
- Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline.
- Model-based application software coding experience.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and ability to learn other languages if required.
- Interest in electromechanical systems and engines.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of mechatronic control systems.
- Data mining, analysis and dissemination.
- Trackside support for development testing and customer events as required.
- Support dynamometer/test bed rigging and calibration activities.
- Harvest mathematical modelling techniques to describe vehicle behaviour.
- Develop technical capabilities and tools as required by the business.
- Support analysis of field issues and provide solutions.
