Job summary

Quotient Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist to join the Molecular Biology platform in the High Throughput Laboratory. You will deliver high-quality workflows from nucleic acid extraction to sequencing-ready libraries and work with Automation, Data Science and Assay Development teams.

The role focuses on improving workflows, troubleshooting challenges and adopting new technologies to support a growing somatic genomics platform.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related life science.
• 3–5+ years hands-on molecular biology laboratory experience in industry or equivalent.
• Experience extracting high-quality DNA/RNA from various samples.
• Experience fragmenting nucleic acids and quality assessment.
• Experience preparing Next Generation Sequencing libraries.
• Experience in a high-throughput laboratory setting.
• Experience with laboratory automation or automated workflows.
• Excellent organization, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Human Tissue Act and quality systems.
• Experience using ELN/LIMS platforms (Benchling preferred).
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute DNA/RNA extraction from tissues and cells.
• Quantify nucleic acids and assess quality for sequencing.
• Prepare quality sequencing libraries using multiple methods.
• Help develop and run automated molecular biology workflows.
• Troubleshoot workflows to improve quality and throughput.
• Coordinate with Histology and Flow Cytometry to move samples forward.
• Assist implementing new technologies into routine operations.
• Maintain accurate records in Benchling and LIMS.
• Contribute to SOP development and continuous improvement.
• Support training and mentoring of junior staff.
