Job summary

Quotient Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Engineer to design and evolve our AWS-based data and AI infrastructure, enabling scalable genomics-first drug discovery. You will lead cross-disciplinary collaboration with cloud, data, AI scientists and biologists in a high-autonomy role.

The role is a senior individual-contributor position based at the Chesterford Research Campus, near Cambridge, with a strong emphasis on platform outcomes and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years designing production cloud or data infrastructure.
• Advanced AWS experience with multiple interdependent systems.
• IaC, CI/CD, containers, cloud networking, IAM and observability.
• Python and Linux software engineering with testing and automation.
• Experience with data-intensive life-science workflows and reproducibility.
• Experience enabling AI/ML workloads in cloud environments.
• Track record leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring.
• Ability to communicate architecture and trade-offs to technical and scientific stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and evolution of AWS-based infrastructure across cloud services and AI workloads.
• Design reusable infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and environment-management patterns.
• Own cross-cutting decisions for observability, IAM, networking, resilience and data lifecycle.
• Partner with Cloud and Data Engineers to deliver integrated solutions and mentor through design reviews.
• Translate model development and data requirements into secure platform capabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex failures; lead incident reviews and improvements.
• Establish engineering standards for testing, release management, security and cost visibility.
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the infrastructure roadmap with Head of Data Infrastructure.
