Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics is seeking a senior scientist at our Harwell site to lead development and deployment of advanced molecular assays for clinical endpoints. You will guide RT-qPCR, dPCR, and NGS work, ensure GMP-like quality, and collaborate with analytics, bioinformatics, and regulatory teams to support Phase 1–3 studies.

Qualifications

PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, or related field with 9+ years biotech/pharma experience.
Hands-on expertise in RT-qPCR, dPCR, and NGS assay development and validation.
Experience with GCLP/GLP guidelines and clinical trial biomarker endpoints.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on scientific leadership for design, development, and delivery of molecular assays.
Lead RT-qPCR, dPCR, and NGS workflows across diverse applications and sample types.
Own end-to-end assay lifecycle: development, qualification, validation, and tech transfer.
