Pearson is seeking a Principal Moderator for GCE A Level Turkish, fully remote. The role focuses on producing and standardising questions, ensuring alignment with assessment criteria, and monitoring examiner performance across standards.

You will have a degree and teaching qualification, with extensive experience in moderation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and IT skills are essential to succeed under deadlines in a high-stakes environment.

You will have assessment experience.
You will have experience of managing people.
You will have a high level of IT proficiency.
You will have leadership experience in delivering qualifications.
You will have knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements.

Responsibilities

To produce a working draft paper / respond to amendments and produce a draft paper.
To set / approve questions and mark schemes and demonstrate alignment with specifications.
To attend the Question Paper Evaluation Committee meeting (QPEC) and produce a final draft.
To ensure final papers meet specification content and assessment objectives.
To ensure parity of standards across questions and papers.
To monitor marking standards of examiners and maintain consistency.
To monitor examiner performance and advise on appointment, training and reappointment.
To provide and coordinate training such as standardisation and other standards-related activities.
To ensure quality assurance and assessment practices are maintained.
To ensure assessment activities meet regulatory compliance and requirements.
To attend the awarding meeting and advise on grade boundaries.
To submit an evaluation report on performance of the question paper.
