Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to provide technical leadership in our Search Marketing & Tech organization. You will own end-to-end ML solutions, define architectural direction, and drive multi-quarter initiatives that improve customer experiences and business performance at scale.

You will mentor other scientists, collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, and push for robust experimentation, monitoring, and scalable production practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 6+ years (Master’s) or 4+ years (PhD) of hands-on ML experience in real-world problems.
• Demonstrated track record of leading a complex, multi-stakeholder production ML initiative with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ML solutions from problem framing to deployment and iteration.
• Define technical direction for ML domain including architecture and data contracts.
• Lead multi-quarter ML initiatives with cross-functional teams to production systems at scale.
• Mentor other data and ML scientists and drive adoption of best practices.
