Tripadvisor is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to lead and architect ML initiatives in the Experiences R&D team in London. You will own ML strategy for core product capabilities that drive search, retrieval, ranking, and Content AI, translating offline metrics to business KPIs such as bookings and engagement.

You will mentor junior scientists, prototype rapid solutions, and collaborate closely with SWE partners to ensure robust, production-ready systems across a remote-friendly

Competenze

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing, validating, and deploying large-scale ML models in production environments.
• Strong practical and theoretical foundation in machine learning techniques, feature engineering, and deep learning paradigms.
• Proven ability to tweak, hybridize, and adapt existing state-of-the-art architectures to solve non-linear business problems.

Mansioni

• Lead ML projects within your pod and design custom model components or loss functions.
• Evaluate new architectures balancing accuracy, speed, and resource usage for production.
• Implement rigorous validation automation and guardrails to prevent data leakage and regressions.
• Collaborate with Engineering on compute/GPU infra and define model failure modes and confidence thresholds.
• Mentor mid-level and associate ML scientists to ensure rigorous experimentation and deployment.
