Job summary

Tripadvisor is seeking a mid-level Machine Learning Scientist to join its London-based hybrid team. You will work on ML models that support marketing initiatives across paid, organic, search and CRM channels, deploying solutions and validating impact in real time.

You will design robust AB tests, interpret results, and collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to drive measurable business value.

Qualifications

• PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field preferred (or masters with 2+ years of practical experience).
• Strong background in machine learning and statistics.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical programming (NumPy/Pandas/Scikit-learn).
• Ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Use machine learning models to solve core marketing problems across channels.
• Design AB tests and analyze their results.
• Prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain ML models in production.
• Automate ETL pipelines and observe impact in real time.
• Communicate progress and interpretation of experimental results to technical and business stakeholders.
