Expedia Group is seeking an experienced machine learning engineer to design, implement, and optimise AI-powered content understanding, summarisation, and recommendation systems. You will build scalable ML pipelines, deploy models to production, and monitor their performance in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

The role involves shaping how Traveler experiences are personalised across Expedia's platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related professional experience.
• 5+ years in production ML.
• Proficient in Python and building production-grade services and APIs.
• Experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Ownership of ML lifecycle from experimentation to operation.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, evaluate, and improve ML models and algorithms for Content AI applications.
• Design end-to-end ML solutions including data prep, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Apply statistical analysis, experimentation, and data-driven decisions to assess model performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, applied scientists, and domain experts to translate business problems into ML solutions.
• Contribute to system design, API development, and data modelling for production ML systems.
• Build and operate production ML pipelines using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Redis, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infra.
• Design and deploy scalable batch and real-time ML pipelines for customer-facing apps.
• Develop and operationalise LLM applications, RAG systems, and Generative AI capabilities.
• Create evaluation frameworks and observability solutions to monitor model quality, reliability, latency, drift, and impact.
• Evaluate trade-offs between model quality, scalability, latency, and infra cost.
• Partner with engineering teams to deploy and scale ML systems in production.
• Produce technical documentation and share expertise through reviews and leadership.
