Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Lead or Senior Lead in Machine Learning to guide the Visual Computing Group in advancing neural-assisted game rendering and streaming. You will lead engineers and researchers, oversee prototyping and integration of new visual computing tech, and coordinate cross‑functional work with product teams.

You will influence timelines, quality, and architectural decisions, while fostering a productive, inclusive team culture in a dynamic, world‑class gaming

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to visual computing (e.g., C++, Python, OpenGL, DirectX).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and their application in visual computing.
• Knowledge in game engine rendering: UE5, ray tracing, path tracing, and related ML methods for rendering and upscaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of ML engineers and researchers focused on neural-assisted game rendering.
• Coordinate build, prototyping, development, and integration of new visual computing technologies.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring high-quality work, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive innovation.
• Align the team’s work with strategic objectives and manage technical debt and ongoing projects.
• Meet with collaborators to build partnerships and establish positive relationships.
