Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks an independent Senior ML Engineer to join the Visual Computing Group (VCG). You will design and deploy neural networks for game rendering and streaming systems, aiming for state-of-the-art runtime efficiency, visual quality, and latency.

Responsibilities include developing generative models for graphics and video processing, researching new methods, and collaborating on publications and patents.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in the domain.
• 5+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia.
• Strong background in TensorFlow or PyTorch, Python and CV/graphics libraries.
• Evidence of leading technical developments via publications in top conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve core generative models for graphics and video processing.
• Research and prototyping of new methods for graphics or video enhancement and data generation pipelines.
• Collaborate on drafting publications and patent submissions.
• Participate in core R&D work with other teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
