Job summary

ClickHouse's AI/ML Engineering team builds and operates AI and ML products across the ClickHouse Cloud platform, including AI functions and the copilot, collaborating with other teams to ship AI features.

The role focuses on designing, building, and operating production-ready AI capabilities, with ownership of end-to-end ML pipelines and strong emphasis on observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in production environments.
• Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production with inference APIs and vector databases.
• Ownership to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Applied ML in Python (Jupyter, PyTorch, ML libraries) with compute clusters (Ray, Slurm).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features across backend to frontend within ClickHouse Cloud.
• Create robust APIs connecting database capabilities with AI/ML inference systems.
• Integrate models into production with monitoring, versioning, observability.
• Participate in daytime oncall rotation with the team.
• Own the ML pipeline end-to-end (data, training, evaluation).
