Job summary

SoCode Recruitment is seeking a Staff Data Platform Engineer to own a large-scale analytics data platform, tackling complex infrastructure challenges and shaping the foundations for AI-driven products. This hands-on leadership role drives platform architecture, performance, and reliability across multi-tenant systems.

Lead a small team, focus on automation and security by design, and collaborate with ML engineers to enable scalable data access and immutable releases.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in ClickHouse or comparable OLAP technologies.
• Understanding of database internals, query optimisation, distributed architectures.
• Proven track record building scalable, observable data platforms.
• Experience delivering data platforms as products with multi-tenancy.
• Knowledge of security and access controls for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimise and scale multi-tenant ClickHouse OLAP platforms.
• Build automation, observability and capacity management to improve resilience.
• Shape Data-as-a-Service architecture with secure, multi-tenant data releases.
• Support AI infrastructure data foundations for secure access to platform data.
• Mentor engineers and lead a small team while remaining hands-on.
