The Opportunity

I am working with a truly innovative and dynamic major IT consultancy that boasts an impressive portfolio of clients across diverse markets.

As part of their expansion plans, they are looking for a Senior Lead Purview Consultant to join the team and support their clients in implementing and enabling Microsoft Purview and related M365 and Azure Technologies, including data governance, compliance, and risk management solutions.

The Role

You will work with clients across various industries and collaborate with internal teams. Your main responsibility will be leading the delivery of Microsoft Purview solutions, helping clients manage complex data governance, compliance, and risk requirements.

You will provide strategic and technical oversight, act as a trusted advisor, support team development, and optimize existing deployments. You will also design and implement scalable compliance architectures and manage daily activities for a team of consultants.

Key tasks include evaluating and recommending Microsoft Purview technologies for data classification, protection, retention, and compliance across Microsoft 365 and Azure, as well as deploying features like eDiscovery, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Communication Compliance, and Information Barriers.

You will advise on and implement best practices for Insider Risk Management and regulatory compliance, support integration with Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, and assess cloud security posture across solutions.

Engagement with customers, stakeholders, and team members to align security strategies with business goals is essential.

The Person

Must have hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Purview solutions in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, with a thorough understanding of features such as:

• Information Protection (Sensitivity Labels, encryption, etc.)
• eDiscovery & Communication Compliance
• Data Lifecycle and Records Management

Ability to communicate findings and designs clearly, a passion for problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation are important. Broad knowledge of Microsoft Security products like Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel is required. Eligibility or possession of SC clearance is necessary due to project sensitivity.
