The Opportunity

I am working with a truly innovative and dynamic major IT consultancy that boasts an impressive portfolio of clients across diverse markets.

As part of their expansion plans, they are looking for a dynamic Senior Lead Purview Consultant to join the team, supporting and advising clients on the implementation and enablement of Microsoft Purview and related M365 and Azure Technologies, including end-to-end data governance, compliance, and risk management solutions.

The Role

You will work with various clients across different industries and collaborate closely with internal teams. Your key responsibilities will include leading the delivery of Microsoft Purview solutions, helping clients navigate complex data governance, compliance, and risk management requirements.

You will provide strategic and technical oversight, act as a trusted advisor, support team capability development, and optimize existing deployments. You will also design and implement scalable compliance architectures, manage daily activities for a team of consultants, and evaluate and recommend Microsoft Purview technologies for data classification, protection, retention, and compliance.

Design and deploy Purview features such as eDiscovery, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Communication Compliance, and Information Barriers. Advise on and implement best practices for Insider Risk Management and regulatory compliance. Support integration of Purview with Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. Assess and review customer cloud security posture, liaising with stakeholders to align security strategies with business goals.

The Person

Hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Purview solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. A thorough understanding of Purview features, including:

• Information Protection (Sensitivity Labels, encryption, etc.)
• eDiscovery & Communication Compliance
• Data Lifecycle Management & Records Management

Ability to present findings, recommendations, and technical designs clearly. Passion for problem-solving, teamwork, and creating innovative solutions. Broad knowledge of Microsoft Security products such as Microsoft Entra (Identity, Identity Protection, Identity Governance), Microsoft 365 Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.

Eligibility for SC clearance or current SC clearance is required due to project sensitivity.
