Job summary

Sword Group is seeking a Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Consultant to design, implement and optimise Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online solutions for energy, public sector, and finance clients. The role focuses on information governance, data migration, and secure collaboration across Microsoft 365 environments.

You will work within the Data Services team to modernise information environments, lead migrations with ShareGate, and advise on best practices for security and Copilot readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing SharePoint Online solutions within Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven experience planning and delivering SharePoint and file-share migrations, including the use of ShareGate or equivalent migration tools.
• Practical experience designing SharePoint information architecture, including metadata, taxonomy, content types, site structures and permissions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SharePoint Online environments, including site architecture, document libraries, metadata, taxonomy, content types and permissions.
• Lead and deliver migrations from legacy file shares and SharePoint environments into SharePoint Online using ShareGate and migration tooling.
• Develop migration strategies covering discovery, data assessment, information architecture, security, testing and cutover planning.
• Establish governance frameworks to support information management and secure collaboration.
