Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Consultant to design, implement and optimise Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online solutions. You will support digital transformation, data migration and information governance across energy-focused clients, ensuring secure, well-governed collaboration environments.

You will work hands-on within the Data Services team, delivering architecture-driven solutions, automating migration tasks with PowerShell, and guiding customers on

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing SharePoint Online solutions within Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven experience planning and delivering SharePoint and file-share migrations using migration tools such as ShareGate.
• Practical experience designing information architecture including metadata, taxonomy, content types and permissions.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and map them to Microsoft 365/SharePoint solutions.
• Design and implement SharePoint Online environments including site architecture, libraries, metadata and permissions.
• Lead migrations from legacy shares into SharePoint Online using ShareGate and related tooling.
• Design information governance and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview (labels, retention, data classification).
• Develop migration strategies covering discovery, data assessment, security, testing and cutover planning.
• Establish governance frameworks to support secure collaboration and ongoing platform management.
• Use PowerShell and PnP scripting to automate migration activities and site provisioning.
• Advise customers on best practices for security, access management and Copilot readiness.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders through design, delivery and adoption.
• Produce solution documentation and support handover to operations.
