Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Senior Metrology Engineer to lead metrology across the group as the go-to expert for PC-DMIS and CMM programming, shaping best practices and standardising inspection methods across sites.

The role involves travel to UK sites to understand current inspection methods and to implement advanced metrology techniques, driving efficiency and quality improvements across the group.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced user of PC-DMIS software.
• Must be an experienced CMM programmer.
• Up to date with the latest measuring techniques in metrology.
• Confident communicator able to propose new measurement methods.
• Exposure to automated inspection systems, laser scanners, CT, or non-contact metrology.

Responsibilities

• Lead SME for metrology across the Group and set strategy for best practice.
• Drive standardisation of metrology and inspection across UK sites.
• Direct company strategy for metrology and adopt new measuring technologies.
• Travel to understand site inspection methods and align processes across the group.
