Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Metrology Engineer to lead the Group Metrology and Group CMM programming functions within a precision engineering environment in Derby. The role involves offline programming and selecting optimal inspection methods for machined components.

You will head the Metrology department, work with PC-DMIS or alternative software, and ensure accurate, efficient measurement practices across production. Hybrid working 2–3 days onsite in Derby.

Qualifications

• Experience with offline programming for CMMs.
• Familiarity with PC-DMIS or similar CMM software is beneficial.
• Exposure to automated inspection systems and non-contact metrology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Metrology department onsite and oversee CMM programming decisions.
• Program offline using preferred software and determine best inspection methods.
• Ensure accurate metrology data and robust inspection strategies across manufactured components.
