Job summary

The Clancy Group Limited is seeking experienced Metering Dig Team Leaders to join the Affinity Water contract. You will plan and supervise excavations, coordinate reinstatement works and lead a crew on public highway and private properties.

This is not a trainee position. You should understand utility excavation, lead safely, and deliver high-quality work first time. CIS basis and permanent or CIS options available, with potential earnings commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• NRSWA / Streetworks qualification (Units 1-6 minimum).
• Previous experience as a Metering Dig Team Leader / Operative.
• Experience carrying out excavations within the public highway.
• CAT & Genny qualification and practical service avoidance experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions on site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily excavation and reinstatement activities
• Lead your team to deliver safe, productive and high-quality work
• Carry out excavations in accordance with Streetworks requirements
• Use CAT & Genny equipment to identify underground services
• Ensure reinstatement works are completed to specification
• Liaise with supervisors, planners and customers on site
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example
• Support and develop team members where required
