Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking an experienced Metering Dig Team Leader to manage excavations, meter installations and reinstatement work on the Affinity Water contract in Sawbridgeworth. You will lead a crew, ensuring high safety, quality and efficiency on site.

Permanent role with £18 per hour + bonus and CIS opportunities. Demonstrated CAT & Genny skills and a full UK driving licence are essential for the role.

Qualifications

• NRSWA / Streetworks qualification (Units 1-6 minimum).
• Previous experience as a Metering Dig Team Leader / Operative.
• Experience carrying out excavations within the public highway.
• CAT & Genny qualification and practical service avoidance experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions on site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily excavation and reinstatement activities.
• Lead your team to deliver safe, productive and high-quality work.
• Carry out excavations in accordance with Streetworks requirements.
• Use CAT & Genny equipment to identify underground services.
• Ensure reinstatement works are completed to specification.
• Liaise with supervisors, planners and customers on site.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
• Support and develop team members where required.
