Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source Ltd in Essex is seeking permanent Hard Metals and Flat Roofing & Cladding Designers. Positions include a 2D AutoCAD Designer and a BIM (Revit) Designer.

You will ensure drawings are produced on time, coordinate with clients and consultants, and maintain high-quality documentation. Requirements include 5+ years in hard metal/flat roofing design, AutoCAD (2D) or Revit (BIM) proficiency, driving licence, and NHBC/Part B knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' hard metal roofing and/or flat roofing and cladding design experience.
• Strong AutoCAD (2D) or Revit (BIM) proficiency.
• Full driving licence required.
• Knowledge of Approved Document Part B and NHBC conditions.
• Able to coordinate design with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction drawings and designs are produced on time and to a high-quality standard.
• Develop and implement design proposals meeting client expectations.
• Adhere to budget constraints to keep designs financially viable.
• Present proposals to clients for approval.
• Oversee design processes using technical expertise.
• Maintain documentation of design and development in line with ISO 9001.
• Stay updated with building legislation and codes of practice.
• Coordinate information submission for building control compliance.
• Lead coordination and production of design data and reports for projects.
• Oversee design of multiple projects throughout contracts.
• Review architectural intent to develop acceptable solutions.
• Coordinate subcontractor drawings to resolve conflicts.
• Review product data for compliance and integration.
• Assist with design schedules and provide technical support.
• Attend design meetings and lead with consultants and subcontract designers.
• Prepare site reports from surveys on progress and quality.
• Stay current with industry trends.
