Job summary

ESS at RAF Valley is seeking a Mess Manager to lead catering, hospitality, front of house and soft FM services within a prestigious Defence environment. You will deliver a first-class customer experience, manage guest-facing teams and ensure high standards across all Mess operations.

The role requires visible leadership, budget ownership, event planning support, and close collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Mess, Hospitality or Front of House leadership.
• Strong customer-facing and guest experience skills.
• Experience in Defence, military or secure environments desirable.
• Budgets, cost control and performance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Mess operations, including catering, hospitality, and front of house services.
• Provide visible leadership to customer-facing teams, ensuring exceptional service standards.
• Oversee day-to-day soft FM service delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Act as primary point of contact for the client, building strong relationships.
