Senior Merchandiser
Location: Leicester

Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester - is seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional leadership, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
2. Create and manage seasonal plans, buying and assortment plans, and product lifecycle management.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, marketing, and operations to ensure successful execution of plans.
4. Manage and analyse inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels.
5. Monitor market trends and competition to identify new opportunities and adjust plans accordingly.
6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar senior merchandising role within the manufacturing, retail or fashion industry.
2. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively under pressure.
3. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
4. Advanced proficiency in IT and Excel, with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
5. Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and drive teams to meet objectives.
