Job summary

AA Euro Group is seeking an MEP Package Manager to join a client delivering large-scale infrastructure works in the Birmingham area. The role offers the option to work PAYE or LTD and accommodation can be provided for a long-term project.

You will oversee all MEP packages from procurement to handover, coordinate MEP teams, monitor programme progress, manage risks, and ensure commissioning and testing are completed to schedule. A degree in mechanical/electrical building services is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing MEP packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of building services systems and construction methodologies.
• Experience with design coordination, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review subcontractor valuations, variations, and change control processes.
• Monitor package budgets and report on cost performance.
• Ensure value engineering opportunities are identified and implemented.
• Review and coordinate MEP design information and technical submissions.
• Resolve design and installation conflicts through collaboration with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, building regulations, and client requirements.
• Oversee commissioning plans and ensure successful testing and validation of systems.

Project Delivery

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for MEP-related matters.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, utility providers, and subcontractors.
• Attend project progress meetings and provide regular status reports.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing MEP packages on large-scale construction projects.
