Job summary

Michael Taylor Search & Selection Ltd has a role for a Senior MEP Project Manager in Central London. You will manage a £10M M&E package, reporting to an Operations Director, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to a high quality and within budget.

The role requires experience in a fast-paced commercial environment with strong design management, procurement, and coordination across clients, main contractors and consultants. A competitive day rate is offered.

Responsibilities

• Tender review/validation.
• Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants).
• Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant.
• Technical submittals.
• RFIs Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors.
• Value Engineering where applicable.
• Programming of works.
• Health & Safety management (RAMs).
• Commercial responsibility, assisting with subcontractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Surveyor.
• Management of variations.
• Team coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors).
• Progress meetings with subcontractors, client and internal meetings.
• Overseeing commissioning stages.
• Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover.

Client: An established building services contractor specialising in mechanical and electrical installations across the commercial construction and fit-out sectors across London. Role: Senior MEP Project Manager - Central London - £400-£500 per day or PAYE equivalent

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £10M M&E package within their own discipline, reporting into an Operations Director. Key to this role is managing the project; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.

The ideal candidate:

• Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment
• Experience working in the commercial sector
• Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5 within your own discipline
• A minimum 5 years experience in a management roleIdeally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Structure Tone, Overbury and Parkeray
