Job summary

Storyy Education seeks a senior leader to mentor and guide a RESET provision in Wiltshire, shaping practice and supporting young people aged 11–16. The role blends direct mentoring with building team capability, focusing on social and emotional regulation, safe, therapeutic environments, and collaborative planning with schools and families.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience with young people in education, youth work, or social care.
• Solid grasp of trauma-informed practice in daily work.
• Experience leading or supporting a small team or readiness to do so.
• Strong, plain-spoken communication with young people, families, and professionals.
• Unshakeable commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-to-one and small-group mentoring focused on social and emotional regulation, behaviour for learning, and re-engagement.
• Help build and deliver personalised RESET intervention plans with the wider team.
• Act as a key adult for young people, sustaining routines and restorative relationships.
• Model and coach best practice in behaviour management and de-escalation.
• Support transitions, reintegration planning, and ongoing assessment with schools and families.
• Track progress and report findings to ensure stakeholders know what works.
• Supervise and coach mentors and volunteers on a day-to-day basis.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure team adherence.
• Contribute to risk assessments, daily planning, and team communication.
• Champion nurture, inclusion and high expectations.
